The Institute is a Society registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 and is managed by a Governing Council consiting of 19 members with Cabinet Secretary as its Chairman and Executive Committee consisting of 20 members and five co-opted members with Secretary (Personnel) as its President.

The day to day working of the institute is monitored by members of a Working committee who are all members of Executive Committee.
